The Africa Center For Disease Control has received 5 million dollars from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to help it set up measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus into the continent. China’s CDC has received another 5 million dollars from the Foundation. The new virus, first reported in China, has claimed the lives of at least 80 people. Over 2000 have been infected. SABC ‘s Coletta Wanjohi spoke to the director of the Africa Centre for Diseases Control, Dr, John Nkengason.
