WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division arrested Jose Eduardo Valasquez, 56, of Greenbelt, Maryland, according to a police release. He was charged with the sex trafficking of children and arranging for sexual contact with a real or fictitious child.

Police say that Valasquez traveled to a location in the District on Monday, after he had arranged a sexual act with a child in exchange for money. Law enforcement officers apprehended without incident upon his arrival

The FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force assisted in the investigation of this case.
