A 39-year-old man is accused of forcing a 14-year-old girl into human trafficking and investigators say the case was cracked during a traffic stop last year. Desha Turner, 39, is accused of human trafficking a child under 18. The 14-year-old victim was found with Turner during a traffic stop last year and investigators went to work.The 14-year-old had run away from a group home, eventually meeting up with Turner, according to arrest paperwork.In the affidavit for the arrest warrant, it’s alleged Turner took photographs of the victim and posted them on an escorting website.Turner’s accused of renting rooms at a motel in Altamonte Springs, where he would allegedly sell her for one day. The arrest report said the victim would be forced to have sex with various individuals at the motel for money. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office suggested Thursday that it’s all part of an organized scheme.“They’ll befriend these victims, in this case a young child, a young teenager, act like they’re friends, perhaps draw them in by saying I’ll take your picture for modeling for instance,” Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Bob Kealing said. “This is a life felony and we have dedicated investigators looking for people like them.” Investigators said the motel cooperated fully, providing evidence that led investigators to the information necessary to arrest Turner.
