Iraqi Police Donate Food to Poor Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

The Iraqi Federal Police delivered food rations to residents of Sadr city in northern Baghdad, Monday, April 13.

Iraq continues to enforce a curfew, and many families are finding it difficult to make ends meet.

Sadr City is predominantly Shiite and impoverished, with many unemployed. Additionally the Iraqi economy has been halted, with very few shops open.

Iraq has reported at least 1,352 confirmed virus cases with 76 deaths. (AP)
