Man charged with human trafficking after woman comes forward: DRPS



Durham police say an Aurora man is facing charges after a woman told investigators she had been trafficked in the sex trade and exploited for years.

Officers from the Human Trafficking Unit arrested Eric Brown, 34, of Aurora on Wednesday.

Investigators say a woman come forward earlier in November, saying that she had been trafficked around the GTA for the last six years.

Brown, who also goes by the name “Bullet,” is charged with: trafficking in person over 18, procuring/exercise control, procuring/recruit person to provide sexual services, material benefit from sexual services, material benefit from trafficking in person, obtaining sexual services for consideration, advertising sexual services, fail to comply with probation order, fail to comply with release order and withhold identity documents trafficking in person.

He is being held for a bail hearing.

Police have released a photo of Brown, in an effort to ensure there are no other victims.
