On this episode of The Backpack Show, we’ll talk with Mark Horvath. Mark runs Invisible People, an organization with the goal of changing the way we look at homelessness. Chris met Mark way back in 2008 or so, and has worked with Mark on various projects of Mark’s creation, like his work to get corporate sponsorship support with people like Hanes.
Also joining us is Lual Mayen, who fled Southern Sudan and ended up in Uganda, suffering deep personal losses along the way. The quote most people say about Lual is that when he first saw a video game, he thought they were heaven-sent, perhaps literally. Since then, the young designer has taken on launching a game company, and building “Salaam,” a game about peace.
