Peru: Lima opens shelter for victims of domestic violence during COVID-19 lockdown

Lima city council opened a shelter for women who suffered from domestic violence during the coronavirus lockdown, as footage filmed on Friday shows.

The institution can host up to 22 women providing them with a safe place as well as medical and psychological help.

They also participate in workshops developing skills to overcome dependence on their violent partners.
