Singer Bobby Brown plans to build a shelter for domestic violence victims in honor of his late daugh

(30 Jul 2018) ALLEGATION CLOUDS BOBBY BROWN’S PLAN FOR VIOLENCE SHELTER
Singer Bobby Brown plans to build a shelter for domestic violence victims in honor of his late daughter, despite allegations that he once hit his ex-wife Whitney Houston.
“Take out of this what they don’t know about me. And, you know, have them judge for themselves what kind of man that I am,” Brown said Monday (30 JULY 2018) while recieving a proclamation from city officials acknowledging plans to build the not-for-profit Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House.
“It’s just beautiful that the mayor and, you know, the city council and the commissioner, all of them, have stepped up in, you know, in support of, you know, my daughter’s passing,” Brown said.
Bobbi Kristina died in 2015 at age 22. She was the daughter of Houston, who died in 2012.
In an interview last week, Brown denied ever striking Houston, despite a 2016 TV interview in which the singer said he once hit her.
He was accused of striking Houston in the face, leaving her with a bruised cheek and a cut lip in 2003. That case was dismissed in 2005. The reason given by prosecutors was “unable to contact the victim.”
