A Texas man was booked into the Henry County jail early Tuesday after being arrested in his home state for sex trafficking and money laundering.
According to members of the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Montoya R. Graham, 48, of Cibolo, Texas, had been held in that state.
He was brought here by a sheriff’s transportation unit with Sgt. Blake Jenkins being credited as the arresting officer. An arrest report indicates he was in the unit’s custody at 1:10 a.m.
Graham faces charges including two counts of trafficking a person for a commercial sex act, money laundering and criminal conspiracy to traffic a person for a commercial sex act.
Graham is set to appear Jan. 6 in Henry County Circuit Court. His arrest report showed a bond of $10,000.
In an unrelated incident, a Paris man was arrested Monday night by Paris Police Cpl. Jeff Smith after allegedly assaulting a woman.
An incident report by PPD Patrolman Johnathan Baxter indicated Richard Ross Hudson, 59, 303 S. Poplar St., was apparently thrusting his forearm onto the victim’s throat while on top of her and pushing her face into an air vent during an altercation.
The victim was found with a bloody lip at the scene of the incident.
Hudson was taken into custody at 7:24 p.m. at his residence and charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault.
He was scheduled to appear Tuesday in General Sessions Court. There was no bond information on his arrest report.
