Tower Cancer Research Foundation – Research Video

Tower Cancer Research Foundation career development awards are given annually to support junior faculty members as they begin their careers in academic medicine. We support physician scientists who envision a career in academic medicine focusing on a bench-to-bedside approach. With the current shortage of federal funding, these funds are much needed to support the future of cancer research.

Started in 2005 with one $25,000 grant, we expanded our support of basic science research in 2006 to three $25,000 grants and awarded four $50,000 awards in 2008. They are given to researchers in Southern California. Two grants have been awarded in memory of Ronnie Lippin, a talented music and public relations executive who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2006.
